Xero's new invoicing includes some classic features you love, plus new features to make it easier to customize your invoices and get paid faster. You can make the switch to new invoicing now.

Let's see how simple it is to create and send a customized invoice: (Video transcript)
Customer, Terms, Date etc.
To add a new contact for an invoice type their name then click to add them as a new contact and add their
details. Select an invoice issue date and due date from the preset periods or pick your own. Add an invoice number and reference number then select the currency and your branding.
Select the fields you want to show on your invoicing screen.
For example the discount and tax fields.
To change what customers see on invoices, edit the branding theme.
As you enter an item another line automatically appears below click enter to add more lines click
Attach Files
Click attach files to add documents to your invoice. Drag and drop files or select them from your device or file library. Send these as attachments with your invoice.
Include Online Payment Options
Get paid faster by including online payment options on your invoices. Simply choose a payment option and follow the prompts to get started. If you're not already signed up, this adds a review and pay button to your customer's emailed invoice, making it easy for them to pay you.
Preview and Send Invoice
Preview your invoice before you send it, then save your invoice and create another one. Submit it for approval or approve the invoice yourself. Once approved, you can print a PDF copy or a packing slip.
Edit and Share Invoice
Click the menu to edit your invoice, email it to your customer, or get a sharable link to the invoice.
Generate Recurring Invoices
If you invoice a customer regularly for the same amount, select repeat to generate a recurring invoice to save time later.
Now you're ready to switch to new invoicing! Simply click "Switch to New Version" from classic invoicing to get started.
